The vocoders used for voice compression offer outstanding quality with speaker recognition at data rates from 2.4 kbps to 14.4 kbps. The cryptographic functionality is the same as in the Secure Fax product range and the Vocoder Crypto OEM building block.

This Particular Hand Held Model can be used via Inmarsat A, B, C, M, Mini-M, GAN terminals (Thrane & Thrane, Nera, other on request) With a plug-in PC-Card / PCMCIA modem / interface module can be used via GSM (GSM PC-Card or GSM handset), PSTN or any other terminal.
