Data link encryptor family is providing full-duplex, synchronous line encryption for data rates up to 2.048 Mbps. All types of application such as classical link encryption and dial-up systems within public or private networks are supported.

It works in a protocol-dependant (parts of the line protocol are not encrypted) operating mode.

With exchangeable data interface specifications, such as G.703 (e.g. digital hierarchy E1) or V-recommendations (e.g. V.11 and V.35)-covering a universal application range even in changing or growing communication networks.

A special installation mode provides stepwise integration of the encryptor into the link. After simple configuration, all functions in cipher mode are completely automatic, a main requirement for unattended operation. The encryptor can be operated manually or from a remote controller. It is self-synchronizing even after sync-loss due to bit errors or bit slips on the respective channel.

Efficient unit and line test functions help to localize error in the local as well as in the remote encryptor or on the link.
