has been the core area of Research for Shoghi Communications. Since Inception
Shoghi has been involved in Designing and Developing Mil-Grade and Crypto Validated
Communication Security Appliances for Government and Defense Information Protection.
Today Shoghi offers multiple Crypto solutions to its customers with total freedom
from Published algorithms and Key management schemes.
The Equipment is a multi-link encryption system providing full-duplex, synchronous
link encryption for a universal application range in military and civil networks.
The full range of data rates up to 8.448 Mbps is covered.
The encryption system can be equipped with up to four independent encryption modules,
which are individually adaptable to military and all common ITU-T interface specifications.
The encryption modules work in protocol-transparent
(all data are encrypted) or protocol dependent (parts of the line protocol are
not encrypted) operating mode.
The modules
are mounted in a 19" rack, which is elastically suspended in a water resistant
transport case, designed for mobile use. The encryption system is NEMP protected
with external lightning protection.
The
Equipment is controlled by the keypad of the terminal module or by an external
terminal. The control of multiple daisy-chained encryption systems can be centralized
to just one terminal module per communication node.
The Multi Link Encryptor is fully compatible with the Data Link Encryptor family.
Following additional features for military network systems are supported (optional):
Each encryption system can be equipped
with a telephone service channel to its pertaining microwave station. A remote
controlled operation of the microwave stations is possible, provided the latter
are prepared for such feature.
After simple configuration, all functions are completely automatic, a main requirement
for unattended operation. A special installation mode provides stepwise integration of the encryption module into the link.
Efficient unit and line test functions help to localize errors in the local as
well as in the remote encryption module or on the transmission channel.
